Word Detective Phonics Games for Kindergarten Literacy Centers - Bundle

This is a bundle of my word detectives board games. These games are perfect for literacy centers, small group instruction, or reading intervention! There are 2 diphthong game boards, 5 CVC word game boards, and 4 beginning sound game boards. I’ve included both color and b&w for each game. The only other materials you need for these games are double-sided, two-color counters so that students can play in pairs. I've included directions for each one, which should be taught and modeled beforehand!

Diphthong Detective Game:

Students will lay the cards face down and take turns drawing a card and finding the picture that matches the diphthong on the card. They should say each word aloud to their partner to be sure their diphthong card matches the picture. The goal is to get 4 in a row!

CVC Word Detective Game:

Students will lay the cards face down and take turns drawing a card, reading the word to their partner, and placing a counter on the picture that matches their card. The goal is to get 4 in a row!

Beginning Sound Word Detectives

Students will lay the cards face down and take turns drawing a card, finding the picture with the beginning sound to match the letter on their card, and placing a counter on the picture that matches. The goal is to get 4 in a row!
